We are working on UNO 1.6 for some time now. UNO 1.6 is (again) a complete rewrite, and with the release of iTunes 7.2 we felt like "let's wait a bit and release 1.6 instead of updating 1.5". But now with Tiger 10.4.10 update and UNO 1.6 not being at final stage yet, we will just do a small update to 1.5. So, stay tuned for an update. And thank you for your understanding and patience. And thanks a lot for the incredible flow of feedback mails you people sent us! |

iTunes 7 LCD frequency spectrum visualizer is fixed!
Please note that the LCD frequency spectrum visualizer colors are "hardcoded" in the binary itself and not simply images. This patch is very safe because UNO will not try to patch iTunes directly: UNO makes a backup of your iTunes binary; copies it to a temp folder; changes the color values (106 hex values); if no errors occurs UNO check the MD5 of the resulting file; and only if the verification succeeds UNO will copy it to the final destination. All localizations are now complete! 800x600 users are not "left out in the cold" anymore and are now able to install UNO. Remember the small menu bar items from UNO 1.3? Well, by popular request, they are back in the form of an alt version. In a near future this elements (and others) will be part of UNO as options. UNO 1.5.1 changelog: • Fixed iTunes 7 skin LCD frequency spectrum visualizer (was left un-themed) on iTunes 7.1 and 7.1.1. Please note that the LCD frequency spectrum visualizer colors are "hardcoded" in the binary itself and not simply images. UNO makes a backup of your iTunes binary; copies it to a temp folder; changes the color values (106 hex values); if no errors occurs UNO check the MD5 of the resulting file; and only if the verification succeeds UNO will copy it to the final destination. UNO will not even attempt to do this patch if the iTunes version is unknown. • Fixed an issue that would prevent UNO from functioning correctly at first launch if User had never changed Appearance Options in System Preferences (UNO would be looking for a non existing key). • Made all file handling less dependent on environment variables (this enhances reliability on systems with "messed up" environment variables). • Assigned "Enter/Return" key to "Install" and "OK" buttons. Assigned "Esc" key to "Cancel" buttons. (This allow less mouse clicking and is a temporary workaround to allow UNO installation on 800x600 setups by pressing "Enter" at the "Install" panel). • Code cleanup and UI cleanup.Removed unused UI elements and unused code blocks left over from a experimental feature that could be the culprit of a rare problem. • Updated French localization by Thomas Didrel (http://tototoolco.com/) • Updated Chinese localization by Jimmy Ti. • Updated German localization by Andre Hoffmann (http://effzehn.de/) • Small menubar items (20% reduction) are back by popular request. This is temporally available in the form of an alt version - check UNO downloads section. This alt version is only temporary because next version of UNO will integrate this elements (and other elements) as options. |

To celebrate the maturity of our beloved "Cat" (Tiger 10.4.9!) we present you a completely new UNO!
This is a total rewrite of UNO, featuring a brand new UI and a ton of new GUI options. Some annoying glitches like the "long-standing" QuickTime bottom corners problem is finally fixed. A complete new set of beautifully crafted skins for iTunes (ver. 7.1 and later) including UNO Blue; UNO Graphite; UNO Shade Blue and UNO Shade Graphite are now at your disposal. - Courtesy of Gerrit Vanoppen (http://homepage.mac.com/gerritvanoppen/)
This build brings coherency to the Blue/Graphite duality of Mac OS X GUI.
Try this before installing the new UNO: ---------- Go to System Preferences and select Graphite in the Appearance panel. Now open the Finder and select a item in the sidebar - What? It remains Blue? Go to Users pane in SysPref and select a User - Correct, it remains Blue. Now open Safari and click a toolbar button - You're right, it remains Blue also.. And the list goes on.. ----------
Tried it? Find it annoying? Fear not! UNO is here to fix Mac OS X inconsistencies and now it fixes this one too.
A big thanks to Gerrit for all the application skins included on this build and for the outstanding support to this project! Due to the big change log of this version it is mandatory that you read it all (please click Read More) |
